What is your VISION for 2024?
Wait hold up, before you answer that, you may need to know what "VISION IS" and what "VISION DOES"!!
According to Merriam-Webster, VISION is defined as, “the act of power of imagination.” When vision is applied towards your future, you can create a mental picture that can be used to direct your actions. Vision serves as a guide and can be used to provide a sense of purpose as you navigate towards your Big Picture in Life. Creating a vision provides you with something to look forward to and a goal to work towards. It provides you with a reason to keep going, even when the times get tough.
I know, I know! It's easier said than done! Every day we are faced with challenges! and we are confronted with issues that causes us to drift or shift our focus (I'm guilty too). These things are inevitable... test and trials will come; not to cause us to feel defeated but to make us stronger and see God at work. When you run into a wall, a test or a hurdle, you need to know which way to go; hence why the bible says, to “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it". Habakkuk 2:2. A vision written down serves as a reminder, to redirect towards the goal, so even if you lose sight; being able to read what you previously wrote, will get you back on track. (It really works y'all)
So, now you know the "Is" and the "Does" of Vision, what steps are you going to take to curate your vision for 2024?
Here are some tips.
True vision comes from God! It is not distorted, it is not blurred, but it is clear!!
Pray and ask God what type of purpose does he want to manifest in your life?
What is that thing that you can't seem to shake, no matter how outlandish it may seem?
What is that thing that was placed in your spirit, that you forgot, but you were just recently reminded of?
What is that thing that you always said you were going to do, knew you had to do it, but did not make the time to start it?
What kind of Vision Board are you going to commit to, Hard Copy or Digital? (Be realistic. What option will work for you in this season of your life; where you can be easily reminded and can be easily viewed).
Determine your "WHY" (Why are you setting this goal)?
Do you have a big picture goal in one area or multiple areas of your life? (i.e. health, business, personal, spiritual growth)
What are the milestones needed to attain those goal(s). (Make a list of the prerequisites if known)
Proverbs 29:18 says...
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Start mapping out your vision today!! Vision makes all things possible. Dare to Believe
